The Cervia Lifeguards' Co-operative, certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2000

The Cervia Lifeguards' Co-operative meets the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard. This certification was awarded by a leading certification body, TUV of Germany, with Serint Group S.r.l. providing consultancy services during the process.

The objective is to offer the local resorts the opportunity to access the tools they require to make a decisive qualitative leap.

The partner resorts taking part in the project, which can be identified by the table they display at their entrances and by the TUV logo on our site, are committed to delivering services with guaranteed quality standards. In addition, they have all signed a "Protocol on Environmental Protection".

Some examples of the partners' responsible approach include: children's play equipment must feature a safety mark; waste is separated to facilitate recycling; eco-compatible detergents; and much more besides.
It should be stressed that the certification achieved by the Lifeguards' Co-operative assures local hoteliers and business owners that they are dealing with a special type of co-operative - one that provides a level of quality that has been verified and is recognised by the international tourist industry. The Co-operative ensures that management of the bathing facilities in the area is constantly being improved - a factor that will help to enhance the image of the entire Cervia coast.

As president Danilo Piraccini states: "This truly innovative project is a source of added value for the local tourist industry as a whole. It is about global certification of the local tourist services and, as such, is currently unparalleled in Italy, or indeed, anywhere else in the EU".

Naturally, the commitment to quality is being bolstered every single day with a view to achieving continuous improvement.
